(Women being considered for Character A will be asked to stay for the 4p-6p timeslot for some partner work.)
4pm - 6pmMEN MOVEMENT IMPROVISATION & LIFT CALL - Character B
Character A: (female) 20's or 30's protagonist, lovable, fiery, conflicted
Character B: (male) 20's or 30's is fun-loving, loyal, protagonist's soulmate
Character C: (female) 20's or 30's is domineering, sexy, protagonist's lover

FOR WOMEN: Seeking female dancers with strong dance technique.
Preference for dancers who can act.
Must have a comfort with improvisation and collaboration.
During
the dance call, you will learn choreography & also be asked to
improvise. FOR MEN: Seeking strong male actors. No dance training or lift experience necessary for audition.
Must have a comfort with improvisation and collaboration.
Audition will consist of improvisations with partners as well as learning a few lifts and practicing them with partners.

The Movement Workshop Group is a dance theater company based in New York City.
We are casting for a 15 min. performance at Dixon Place on November 10th.
Performers may be asked to continue on with us for full evening performances in
New York and Boston in the spring of 2011
as well as APAP showcases on January 8 & 9, 2011 - tech on January 6.
Rehearsals will be held every Monday from 2p-6p beginning on Monday
October 4th
as a part of the company's Field Artist Residency.COMPENSATION
If cast, you will receive a small stipend for performances.
